If you happen to live in a country that is on or near the equator, you realize just how valuable a solid air conditioner is for your home, your office, and your car.
Not only can temperatures easily cross 40C but the humidity levels during the monsoon season, and overall in the summertime, can be extremely high.
Both these factors combined mean that not only are you hot and exhausted but you are also sweating profusely which is dehydrating you even further. In most Asian countries, even ones as developed as Singapore, central heating and central air conditioning are not that common.
Instead, people rely on air conditioners installed in all parts of the home to keep the structure cool and ambient. When you factor in that many countries in the region also have power supply problems, this can build a very uncomfortable situation.
Sometimes the voltage isn’t high enough to power the air conditioner, sometimes it?s so high that it fries the air conditioner, and in some unfortunate moments, there is no power at all, so you can?t even run the ceiling fan...
