The effect of centrifugal force on the open road and reduce the tendency of vehicle to overturn is what the engineers must calculate when are building roads. In order to skid laterally outwards, is they chose to raise the  pavement outer edge with the respect to inner edge. That process of providing a transverse slope is actually what  super elevation means.  Or, the definition says that the amount by which the outer edge of a curve on a road or railroad is banked above the inner edge is what the super elevation is.
