Furniture designed for urban nomads

The development of new technologies has enabled the emergence of so-called ?urban nomads?, mainly young professionals, who have adopted the modern concept of fluidity in their lifestyle. For them, the flexibility is standard that applies to many aspects of their life, mostly relating to their workplace and residence.
?Nomadism? becomes noticeable in the framework of the home too: the dimensions of the home are becoming smaller especially in big cities, the room functions are overlapping and as a result there is more frequent moving of the furniture and the accessories and adapting to the current needs. The furniture and the other house items are no longer tied to a specific place or room in the house, but they are part of flexible configuration of the home.  The living room becomes temporarily work or guest room. Therefore, the designers are seeing the needs of modern life and are creating furniture and house items that are easy to move, dismantle and adapt to the needs, small spaces or frequent changing room. Now, more than ever, the residence is considered to be less durable and more flexible home with variable configuration, in order to quickly and easily respond to current demand and needs of the owner at a certain stage of life.
