Foundation Systems Types and the Site / General Process

The foundation of the building actually transfer the weight of it to the ground. The term ‘foundation’ is in general use, but every building has a number of individual foundations which are commonly called footings. Usually every column of the building have its own footing. There are: Strip Foundation (deep and wide), Trenchfill Foundation, Raft Foundation, Piled Foundation (Short bore pile and beam, Friction Piles), Pad Foundations.
