Very important part of every construction foundation are the footings. They support the foundation and prevent settling. Spreading the weight of a load-bearing wall across an area of soil is achieved by wall footing or strip footing that is actually a continuous strip of concrete that is a component of a shallow foundation.  A strap footing as a building’s foundation components is a type of combined footing.
