koning eizenberg architecture has constructed the house out of modest materials, as spaces are anticipated to change over time according to the family?s improvisational lifestyle. the floors in all units are layered with concrete, while painted pegboard has been used to achieve a lightweight, ?illuminated? ceiling. secondary indoor circulation provides residents with a short-cut route during wet weather, excluding an off grid guest house. all living and sleeping spaces have openings to the outside, while passive strategies and fan-assisted earth tubes have been used to achieve cooling and avoid the use of air conditioning.
