Location: Sangolda, Goa, India
SMD Architects’ client for the floating Flor-do-Mar Restaurant deals with expensive yachts for sale or charter. With growing demand in the market the client intended to build a floating barge which was meant to be used for multiple yacht sale parties and events in Mumbai.
In due course of time their interest drifted to converting the barge to a humble floating restaurant after minor renovations into a special dining and entertainment space in Goa.
Goa is well known for its tourism, sightseeing, weekend getaway from Mumbai, shopping, cultural activities & food. So this one of a kinds experience is anchored out in the water off Chapora river which is around 24 kms / 40 mins drive from Panjim. The barge is stationery and can very well host about 60 to 80 dinners at any given point of time on the lower deck. The upper deck can be used for private parties and can be hired for evenings to late evenings.
This one of a kind floating restaurant provides a fantastic unobstructed view of the beautiful terrain of Goa from all dining tables along with the interesting surrounding sight of floating fishing boats all around. The barge is well equipped with a...
