The Arctic Bath is a unique hotel that welcomes guests with an amazing spa experience. The hotel is a 12-room floating spa and hotel, opened on the Lule River in the Swedish Lapland, in January 2020.
Arctic Bath was inspired by the timber-floating era when felled trees were transported down the river for processing. The Treehotel, the main building, draws influence from a ?log jam.? The floating part of the hotel features cabins, designed by architects Bertil Harström and Johan Kauppi, located near the water?s edge, with access to the shore via a footbridge and outside decks. The hotel consists of six floating ?cabins? that connected to a design-forward spa by above-water walkways. The cabins are designed by Ann Kathrin Lundqvist. They are built on the tree-lined shore and boast glass walls offering views of the landscape and northern sky. Each room at Arctic Bath has been thoughtfully designed with a high level of comfort and luxury and overall wellness focus. The surrounding nature has been incorporated into the cabins and suites with the use of natural, sustainable materials with a rich history such as wood, stone, leather and luxurious textiles.
