Flexible Wall Shelf

The product designer, Natascha Harra-Frischkorn from Germany, has created a wall shelving system, named Chuck. It is made up of flexible wooden planks which are held together by a stainless steel locking collars. Natascha was inspired by the idea to create individually flexible room.
At a first view, the shelf looks like a simple wooden shelf, but at closer view you can see it is a system made up of flexible wooden planks and it can adapt to the objects put on it. Chuck consists of six wooden planks with two stainless steel locking collars placed at the ends of it. Chuck allows you to explore the possibilities of the elements and to design your room the way you like it. The planks of wood can be lifted separately in order to display your favorite items. Depending on the quantity when filled, the planks stretch out and the shelf takes on a different shape.
The result is waved structure that rises and falls with which easily you can create space for all of your favorite items.
