Flatpack furniture startup Floyd now offers same-day delivery
The service is already available in NYC, with San Francisco, LA, and additional markets to follow In the flatpack furniture wars, convenience is key. Making it as easy as humanly possible to buy, ship, and assemble furniture is one of the only things that makes any given startup stand out.
Every company goes about it differently. Ikea offers a new assemble-on-demand service. Tylko, has built-to-order shelves that are customizable by app. Campaign promises easy single-box packing for your next move. Now Floyd, the flatpack furniture company out of Detroit, is now promising same-day delivery to customers in New York, with availability in San Francisco and Los Angeles following close behind this spring and other markets later this year. Order by 4 p.m. and the company will ship out a dining table or bed to your apartment by 9 p.m. How does this Amazon-level delivery magic work, exactly" According to Co. Design, the company has distribution centers in its biggest market cities. That, coupled with the fact that Floyd offers a very limited line of goods and ships them flat, makes the logistics of single day delivery a little less headachy.
