RMJM Prague Appointed Authors of MSIC Building 5 Development in Ostrava
RMJM Prague recently finished a proposal for the Fifth Building of the Moravian-Silesian Innovation Center?s (MSIC) technological park, located in Ostrava. The innovation centre building will be made up of five floors and will house laboratories, test areas, 2,000sqm of office space, and one level of underground parking.
images from RMJM Prague Architects The concept for Fifth Building is inspired by various elements that feature in the design of a local, traditional castle. RMJM Prague Chief Architect, Luca Aldrighi, has created a modern interpretation of this design and has focussed on safety, accessibility, and water. Additionally, the dome-like structure of the building is a representation of the MSIC site and has been designed to seamlessly integrate with the rolling hills that surround it.
Fifth Building will set a benchmark in the area for sustainable and innovative design, inside and out. Upon entrance to the lobby, employees and visitors will be greeted by a lush green interior which is aimed at improving indoor air quality and the overall aesthetic of the Moravian-...
