Examples, Types and Sources Of Tension
The tension is used a lot in the construction and building structures. The constructor use it for many reasons depending of what they need to obtain at the end. The sources that are used for the tension are different: Tension caused by bending (and axial tension); tension caused by load reversals; caused by shear and torsion; tension near the supports of beams; tension within the suport of beams and slabs; tension within connections; at concentrated loads; caused by directional changes of internal forces. How it looks like and some numbers in the images bellow.
