A distinctive gateway bridge for Hobart, commemorating the fallen, Hobart, Tasmania, Australia
The new Bridge of Remembrance links two of Hobart’s significant public spaces ? the Cenotaph and Soldiers Memorial Avenue on the Queens Domain:

At 200 metres long, the bridge emerges from the ground as an angular shard of metal. The two planes echo each other, twisting through 180 degrees along the length of the bridge.
The design is respectful to the sensitive cultural heritage and environmental values of the Queens Domain site. It is elegant and restrained, while being open to multiple interpretations, providing the space, physically and mentally, for people to pause and reflect. The Bridge was completed for the 2019 Anzac Day service.
