Danish home goods company Vipp releases its first-ever chair
And the Vipp451 is a beauty Vipp, the Danish home goods company known for its sleek trashcans has been in the design game for 80 years. In that time, the company has designed plenty of home accessories, not to mention a viral prefab home and hotel concept. What it didn?t have, until now at least, was a chair.
Vipp has introduced Vipp451, an architectural chair that feels very much of the company?s Danish heritage. The slender chair marries understated warmth and industrial know-how, like so many Danish-designed chairs that came before it.

Vipp451?s frame is built from powder-coated aluminum bent into no-nonsense angles that feel just the right amount of off-kilter to make it interesting. The compact seat and back of the chair comes in black and a gorgeous cognac aniline leather, as well as in wool and polyester. ?The Vipp451 chair links the past with the future. The combination of genuine materials and industrial refinement state a clear reference to our design tradition and line of existing products,? Vipp?s Sofie Christiansen Egelund said in a statement to Curbed. ?By introducing tones, textures, and upholsteries we open new doors, and take another step by entering into the furniture category.?
