We want a self-starter who will proactively seek out and crunch data, resulting in exclusive stories?in addition to collaborating with others on infographics, shareable graphics for social, and dynamic animations for video. At Curbed, data informs the housing market, home prices, who lives where, cost of living, and where people move, all facets that relate to how people live in cities across the US. The successful candidate will be responsible for researching, analyzing, and reporting data sources to produce and visualize compelling stories in the world of cities, architecture, and housing. You must enjoy collaboration and have a built-in tuning fork for turning numbers into a narrative. The role requires active researching, planning, pitching, and submitting story ideas for publication on our flagship site, as well as relevant Curbed city sites. The role is an excellent one for someone interested in visual storytelling and looking to spearhead investigative reporting for a growing media outlet.
Responsibilities
?Analyze data sets (market reports, reports from public companies and city governments) in order to proactively report and tell stories relevant to Curbed?s topic areas
