by day, the structure designed by red deer provides shade with an opening at the top exposing the nevada desert sky. by night, the aperture provides ventilation for a central fire. the pavilion, intentionally elevated off the ground, is designed to feel vast from a distance, and intimate when inside. wrapped in an awning, the structure is supported by a total of 12 wooden beams erected towards the octagonal exposed top.

Â
?bringing the outside in, the interior of the pavilion was focused around a desert sun inspired colour palette with blush and sandy hues creating a natural transition inside.? explains the red deer design team. carefully curated for maximum comfort, the interior is surfaced with moroccan style rugs and colorful mandala bean bags. other decorations, such as macrame pendants and hand painted art, can be found hanging from the wooden beams. in the middle of the pavilion lies a grand piano facing a DJ deck, which played a mix of music all day and night.
