Burj Al Mamlakah – the Tallest Tower in the World

In the recent years, the Middle East has taken a leading role in the construction of the tallest buildings in the world. Today, this region is a place where the tallest buildings in the world are constructed such as Burj Khalifa in Dubai, and the second tallest completed building in the world, Abraj Al Bait Towers in Mecca. Burj Al Mamlakah or Royal Tower is currently under construction in the city of Jeddah in Saudi Arabia. Burj Al Mamlakah will be over 1000 meters high, setting new parameters for the construction of the tallest buildings in the world. The tower was originally supposed to be 1.6 kilometers (1 mile) high, however, the field of geology proved to be unsuitable for a tower of this height. Until recently, the height of a mile seemed impossible to achieve.
