Building Orientation for Increased Indoor Comfort and Reduced Energy Bills

The orientation the building has in the site is very important so there would be taken most of the natural benefits for the home and the homeowners. Facing the home (building) on the side that catches as much as natural light, faced toward the natural landscaping, planning the rooms on the side that receives more sun and the unimportant rooms (closets, toilets, stairs…) toward the north side of the house… Together with daylight and thermal mass, building orientation is very important step for passive solar construction that can be added in any new home design.
