Brick House is a contemporary single-family house located in Philippines, designed in 2018 by Gaga Design House.
Description
Brick House was designed for the Client’s home to have an individualistic expression and a strong sense of place.
The Form was achieved in order to manipulate the ingress and egress of natural wind within the structure.
The intentionality of material use was done to coincide with the hot weather conditions of the area. Not only is the use of sun dried bricks cost effective but it also serves as a good heat insulator to keep internal heat at a minimum. The house ultimately stood its ground and the tactile element provided by the red bricks gave depth and character to the structure.
