the highly anticipated ?google mountain view campus? has undergone a further update by architects bjarke ingels group and heatherwick studio. the project, located in north bayshore, california, was first announced in march 2015 before being updated in both 2016 and 2017. this most recent revision to google?s proposed headquarters includes provisions for affordable housing and a design that maximizes the amount of greenery on the site.

the design for the campus is the result of a collaboration between bjarke ingels group and heatherwick studio, with hargreaves jones landscape architecture (HJLA) overseeing the landscape design. the vast development will occupy a 595,000 square foot campus and will provide office, retail, public and residential space to north bayshore. most recently, google has released their plans to build up to 6,600 residences on the site, with a provision of 20% as affordable housing.
