Reference with its arches, the old building had to leave a private bank headquarters occupancy, with everything it represents: very closed, dark, facing inwards. And turn it into a place with greater thermal, acoustic and lighting comfort, without putting everything on the floor. In addition to creating an integration with the environment and enable dialogue with the pedestrian, without barriers such as grids or obstacles.
With the challenge of renewing a city icon to make it current, without losing the class and sophistication that marked its history. The project proposed removing 10,000 square feet of granite and installing a high-performance reflective glass skin. The stone will be used in the elevator halls, the annex and on the sidewalks.
The transparency of the extra clear glass in the shop windows of the annexes and the opening – inside the BFC site – of a pedestrian walkway with pergola, without bars, allow the perfect integration with Paulista, strengthening the new vocation of the avenue, which comes attracting all retail networks, interested in the large circulation of people, estimated at 1.5 mi...
