Seismic retrofitting is a bunch of techniques used to modificate the existing structures making them more resistant to seismic activity, ground motion, or soil failure that may occur while earthquakes. The civil engineering use a lot of techniques to prevent the possible damages or to fix the problems that already happened. This is a type of steel jacketing of the columns and retrofitting which is used to avoid the earthquake reactions.
