2016 broke the record in Completed Skyscrapers

The growth of the skyscraper in the world is amazing. From the triangular tower in New York to a Lego- Like tower in Singapore – 2016 was a great year for the architecture. 2016 is a record year for skyscrapers around the world. In 2016 were completed 128 tall building throughout the world. All of them 200 meters or higher tall, so the record from 2015 is beaten (114 skyscrapers).
This year, the global skyscraper epicenter is Asia with 107 completed tall buildings or 84%. The United States are second on the list and most of the completed skyscrapers are residential.
South Korea, Indonesia, Philippines and Qatar are next on the list. According to the projections, 2017 will beat this year record in the race skyward.
