Yuri Suzuki designs The Ambient Machine to function as a "sound conditioner"
Sound artist and designer Yuri Suzuki has launched The Ambient Machine, a device designed to create atmospheric sounds for "non-active listening."
The wooden sound machine, which has a bright-yellow cover, contains eight different types of sounds, including sine bells, ocean waves, white noise and bird song, with all sounds able to be combined with one another.
By flicking the machine's 32 switches ? which also control volume, effect and speed ? to mix and match the different sounds, users can create their own unique soundscapes at home.
