Sun Lee reworks traditional Korean craft into biodegradable paper fashion collection
Traditional Korean paper is cut, torn and rolled by hand to form garments of Sun Lee's Consumption of Heritage collection, which aims to revive the importance of craft in a society of fast fashion.
A graduate of Design Academy Eindhoven, South Korean-fashion designer Lee created the six-piece collection after seeing the amount of clothing waste thrown away at the end of every season.
Handmade hanji paper and hansan-mosi fabric creates the modular clothing pieces, designed to be easily recycled to embrace the circular economy in fashion.
