Bartlett's virtual reality film offers preview of Amateur Architecture Studio's new museum
Bartlett School of Architecture has created a virtual reality tour of Amateur Architecture Studio's Lin'an History Museum in China, which is yet to open to the public.
Currently under construction at the foot of Gongchen Mountain in the Lin'an District, the museum is the latest project by Pritzker Prize-winning architect Wang Shu and Lu Wenyu's Amateur Architecture Studio.
The Bartlett's virtual reality (VR) film allows viewers to explore complex, which is visualised as a three-dimensional drawing, and gives hints of the traditional Chinese building techniques that are being utilised in its construction.
It formed the heart of the London architecture school's Spring 2019 Guest Exhibition, which offered an exclusive preview of the incomplete complex through a collection of drawings by Wang Shu.
