Bang & Olufsen's modular BeoSound Shape speakers are arranged like wall tiles

Bang & Olufsen has launched a customisable sound system made of hexagonal tiles that can be arranged as combinations of speakers and acoustic panels.
Designed to be easily customised into honeycomb-like patterns, the wireless wall-mounted panels ? launched during Milan design week ? can play or boost sound, or absorb noise to improve indoor acoustics.
The system requires a minimum of six tiles, but can be scaled up as needed, and is intended for use in home or office environments. Panels are covered in wool fabric made by Danish textile brand Kvadrat, and are available in colours including brown, green, pink and dark blue, which can all be mixed and matched.
"Auditory indoor climate is essential for our physical and mental well-being, just like natural lighting, fresh air and ergonomics," said the brand's Marie Kristine Schmidt, Vice President Brand, Design and Marketing.
